There are about a dozen taxi cab companies in Los Angeles, but they are limited to pick up only in their authorized areas. So you will need to call the appropriate cab company, depending on where you want to be picked up. Taxi drivers are allowed to drop off passengers in any of the areas, but they can only pick up passengers in their authorized zone.

AIRPORTS
Includes Los Angeles International (LAX), Burbank (BUR), Long Beach (LGB), Ontario International (ONT) and John Wayne (SNA) airports.

LOS ANGELES
Includes LAX Airport, San Fernando Valley, L.A. Westside, Miracle Mile, Hollywood, Griffith Park, Downtown L.A., East L.A., South of Downtown and portions of the South Bay (Wilmington to San Pedro).

BEVERLY HILLS
Includes Beverly Hills, along with taxi company phone numbers and a link to the City's official Taxi Service pages.

CULVER CITY
Includes Culver City, along with taxi company phone numbers.

REDONDO BEACH / HERMOSA BEACH

You can enter your starting point and destination using street addresses or points of interest (such as airports or tourist destinations). The estimated fare is calculated based on the mileage, approximate time and predetermined rates. So it's not exact, but will give you an idea of the cost.
