LA Wildfires: Kids First Resource Fair

Join IKEA Los Angeles in partnership with Power of One Foundation as we work together to restore smiles to children affected by the LA wildfires.

When: Saturday, April 5th from 9am-12pm
Where: IKEA Burbank: 600 S. IKEA Way, Burbank, CA

This event is for kids whose homes or schools were damaged or lost in the LA fires. All resources are first come, first served while supplies last. Registration is required, with walk-ups welcome.

Free resources will include toys, bikes, books, backpacks, diapers, art supplies, face painting, music, and more!

Sustainability at IKEA Burbank

At IKEA, we want to empower people to live more sustainably, so we’re focusing on affordable, resource and energy-efficient products. With home solar panels, plant-based food options, and energy-saving solutions, we’re paving the way for more sustainable homes for the many. At IKEA Burbank we have taken steps to create a more sustainable environment in our location. Here are a few ways that we have done that:

• We offer a recycling center in between our main exit, and our Exchanges & Returns Department, where you can drop off any of the following items and let us take care of the rest! 
  • Batteries
  • Plastic bags
• You may also notice our cardboard recycling bins outside of our store in the upper and lower loading zones. Bring back your IKEA packaging and we will recycle your cardboard for you! 
• We currently offer 6 EV parking spots located in our lower-level covered parking structure between Aisel 4 and 6. 
• Attached to the roof of IKEA Burbank are 1,872 solar panels that will produce more than 1 million kilowatt hours of electricity every year for the store. Reducing 726 tons of carbon dioxide, equal to the emissions of 153 cars or providing electricity for 77 homes yearly.
• We offer a Buy Back Program! Do you have IKEA furniture that’s an oldie, but it's still a goodie and looking to retire it? We’ll buy it back and you help pave the way toward sustainable living. By finding your furniture a new home, we are making the things we love last longer. You can learn more about it, by clicking here
• We are working in 2024 to implement area(s) inside and outside of the store for customers to acquire scrap wood! Whether it’s spare doors, shelves, or pieces of furniture we can’t sell - it is available free of charge! It will be offered while supplies last as well as not a guarantee.
